Crowd Control
Description
Our crowd control team comprises of staff who are trained to manage the flow of passengers on and off the train services. In a situation where there is potential for overcrowding on the platform, they manage the in conjunction with other staff members at the station on managing the number of passengers on the platform to avoid any serious incidents such as passengers falling on the platform or the trains been delayed more than necessary on the platform. Which in turn have a knock-on effect on the entire network?
VIPs and wheelchair users are assisted at the station to smoothen their journeys both on and off the train when they get to their destinations by arranging for help at the end of their journeys. For passengers who take ill on the train or on the platforms, they are assisted by offering the necessary help at the station before emergency services arrive.
Communicating effectively, they use the station PA system if available, to inform passengers of the train services available at the station, advice on any disruption on the network, offer passengers on the best possible route for their journeys.
